The Little Mermaid (2018)

The story of a little mermaid who decides to exchange the magnificent sea kingdom for an uncertain world of people to compete for the heart of a beloved prince is the basis of one of Hans Christian Andersen's most famous and saddest tales.

In our theater, however, you will be convinced that, despite the lost hopes and unfulfilled love, there is no reason for feeling gloomy. The new adaptation of the original story by the young director Šimon Spišák offers an original look full of humor and the belief that it is worth fighting for ideals and dreams, despite the unfavorable conditions. The production is part of the "Living Classics" cycle, which offers unusual adaptations of traditional fairy tales from Slovakia and abroad.
