They clip the chickens' wings so they don't fly. So they sit nicely behind the fence in their yard, eat whatever is thrown at them and be useful to their owner. Fifteen-year-old Jana also has her wings clipped. She sits behind the "iron curtain" in her homeland, is fed communist ideology and wants to be useful to society.

A story about a girl who lives in two worlds – in the world of communist propaganda, which she sees as perfect through her child's eyes, and in the world of her family, persecuted for their bourgeois origins. How will she deal with the fact that her mom finds herself in jail overnight for no reason? How will she explain to herself that an innocent person was cruelly affected in a supposedly fair and happy system? Can we distinguish truth from manipulation? What does freedom mean to us and can we protect it?

A performance for youth and adult viewers about the split, crooked morality and manipulation not only of the past.
