Monkeys on the Shelf (2013)
A children’s play based on the cult book by Krista Bendová.
Do you have your favorite toy too? And did it ever seem to you that it suddenly came to life, in such a way that no one could tell anymore if it was just a toy or a living creature? Plush monkeys: Fritz and Jupp are also toys that came to life. And their three owners – brothers Freddy, Sammy and Joey – are all proper rascals. So it's no wonder that their mother, a successful writer, sometimes gets a real headache from all their monkey business.
Although they grew up from children's sweaters a long time ago, one meeting with a beloved plush monkey is enough and they are little boys again ... And a bag full of old clothes and forgotten toys is suddenly an inexhaustible source of entertainment.
If children believe that stuffed monkeys are alive, it is normal, but if adults start believing that, that is when the true fun begins. It is such great fun that your face will hurt from laughter when you are leaving the theater.
